Martin Polanco, M.D., is the founder of Mission Within Foundation, a clinical program that specializes in treating treatment- resistant and complex conditions such as mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), Post-Traumatic Stress, Depression, and/or Addiction resulting from experiences during military service or as a first responder. The program provides care and scholarships for all veterans and first responders, as well as support for their families.

His extensive experience in treating addiction laid the groundwork for developing The Mission Within. Dr. Polanco was the founder and medical director at Crossroads Treatment Center which demonstrated an effective mental health treatment model using psychedelics. He built on this work by contributing to the body of psychedelic research, specifically focused on the outcome and phenomenological studies of Ibogaine and 5 MeO-DMT.
